The Coffee Bean: Medication Bead

This coffee bean bead represents the sometimes bottomless cup of medications that go along with the NICU journey. (caffeine, surfactant, etc)

Whether it’s respiratory, cardiovascular, antibiotics, steroids, or pain medication– caffeine or surfactant, they all play an important role in the NICU and in the journey to health and healing. This bead symbolizes this journey and the many different medications that come along the way.
